Welcome to Uppity Pet Salon & Resort (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website https://www.uppityresort.com (the “Site”), any related services (collectively, the “Services”), and any communications or interactions with us. By accessing or using our Site or Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our Site or Services.

Our Services are operated from Alvin, Texas, in the United States. If you access or use our Site outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
We provide dog boarding, grooming, daycare, and related services. Any specific outcomes mentioned on our Site or in promotional materials are provided for illustrative purposes only. Individual results may vary, and you acknowledge that pet care depends on various factors, including the pet’s temperament, health, environment, and your participation.
Our Services are not intended to replace veterinary advice. For health or medical concerns regarding your pet, always consult a qualified veterinarian.
You represent that you are the owner and/or authorized guardian of your pet and are fully authorized to enter this agreement.
You represent that your pet meets all of the following requirements:
You represent that your pet has not had any contagious illnesses for 30 days prior to check-in. You understand that our employees are not veterinarians and cannot diagnose or detect illnesses. You agree to assume all risk associated with the administration of medication during your pet’s stay. Vaccines do not protect against all contagious illnesses.
You agree to disclose and continue to disclose any and all medical conditions, personality concerns, or behaviors that may affect, limit, or prevent your pet’s ability to participate in our services.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by our booking forms or any other forms on our Site.
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using our Site and Services.
You must not:
If any fleas or ticks are discovered on your pet during check-in or at any time during their stay, we may administer a flea bath and flea spot treatment at your expense.
You authorize Uppity Pet Salon & Resort to obtain veterinary medical treatment for your pet if, in our sole discretion, the pet appears ill, injured, or exhibits behavior suggesting medical treatment is needed. This may require transportation. You grant us full authority to make medical decisions during your pet’s stay and agree to be fully responsible for all associated costs.
You agree that you are assuming all risk of illness, disease, harm, or injury to your pet by allowing participation in activities at our facility. If your pet is injured by another pet, you release Uppity Pet Salon & Resort, its owners, employees, and agents from all liability. If your pet bites a human or pet, we may contact the appropriate authorities.
Uppity Pet Salon & Resort is a cage-free facility utilizing playgroups. Dogs play with their mouth and paws, which can result in minor nicks and scratches. While we provide reasonable care and supervision, these may not always be noticed before departure.
If your pet is transported to or from our facility by our employees or agents, you agree to hold us harmless in the event of injury or accident during transportation.
Confirmed reservations are required for boarding services. There is a three (3) night minimum for all boarding reservations during peak/holiday periods (some periods may require only a 2-night minimum, contact us for details). For extending stays, balance must be paid in full prior to extension.
All fees are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified. You agree to pay all charges and fees incurred in connection with your bookings. Payment is due at the time of pickup with a credit card or cash. You give express permission for us to charge any credit card on file for unpaid fees, services, or products.
Any late, missed, or rescheduled grooming appointment will result in the full charge of the expected service. Groomers are compensated for their time.
Once a pet’s stay has begun, you are responsible for payment of all days reserved, regardless of picking your pet up prior to the scheduled departure date.
Any refund or cancellation policies will be stated on our Site or in your service agreement. We reserve the right to issue refunds at our sole discretion, in accordance with applicable law.
If your pet is not picked up within 14 calendar days after the scheduled departure date, your pet shall be deemed “abandoned.” We will, at our sole discretion, try to re-home your pet or relinquish your pet to a legal shelter. You may be unable to retrieve your pet and will have no recourse against us. You will still be responsible for all unpaid charges.
Uppity Pet Salon & Resort is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property belonging to your dog or you. Your dog’s collar will be removed in the play area to prevent injury, including flea collars. We strongly recommend GPS collars are removed prior to entering the facility, we are not liable for lost GPS collars.
You agree to allow us to use your pet’s name and any images or videos taken during their stay, in any form or format, for use in any media, marketing, advertising, or promotional materials.
All content on our Site, such as text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is owned or licensed by Uppity Pet Salon & Resort and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our content without our explicit written permission.
If our Site allows for user-generated content (e.g., testimonials, reviews), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with our Services.
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third-party sites. Your use of such sites is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uppity Pet Salon & Resort, its owners, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) our Site or Services.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Uppity Pet Salon & Resort and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of your use of our Site or Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any other person or entity.
Uppity Pet Salon & Resort reserves the right to deny admittance to any pet for any reason, at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our Site or Services at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action arising out of these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Brazoria County, Texas.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will provide notice by posting a prominent notice on our Site. Your continued use of our Site or Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
